          On September 28-30th, 2017 in the city of Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic, took place the VII National Congress of Respiratory and Allergy Diseases, the II Central Asian Forum of the International Respiratory Group of Primary Health Care and the X Congress of the Euro-Asian Respiratory Society.

          The organizers of the congress were the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Euro-Asian Respiratory Society (EARO), the GARD in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Thoracic Society (KTO), the Central Asian Association of Pulmonary Hypertension (CA PVRI), the National Center of Cardiology and Therapy (NCCT) named after academician Mirsaid Mirrahimov, with the participation of the Russian (PPO) and European (ERS) respiratory societies, the Asia-Pacific Respiratory Society (APSR), the International Primary Care Respiratory Group.

          300 participants (pulmonologists, cardiologists, phthisiatricians, thoracic surgeons, oncology pulmonologists, pediatricians, allergologists, resuscitators, family physicians) from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the congress.

          The welcoming speech was pronounced by Jogorku Kenesh, the representative of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Talantbek Abdullayevich Batyraliev, the representative of the Office of the Government of the KR, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

          The congress program was very useful both for practicing doctors and for medical scientists in the field of respiratory, cardiology and internal medicine.

          Within the framework of the congress there were conducted the schools of the European (ERS) and Russian (RRS) respiratory societies, the regional meeting of GARD, as well as the symposium on the introduction of PEN (WHO) at the level of primary health care physicians.

          A special event at the congress was the competition of works of young scientists with the awarding of the winners with a nominal scholarship and an educational grant named after Academician M. Mirrakhimov.

          The company “Alpen Pharma AG” also took an active part in this event. At the company’s booth, all participants of the congress were able to get comprehensive information about the medicines Prospan, Influcid, Isla, as well as the possibilities of their effective use in their daily medical practice.
